Spring Break....we're headed to sunny Columbus, Ohio!

Turns out that Jason had a trade show scheduled for his work during the same week as our spring break so the girls and I decided to take advantage of the time off and go with him. Not sure how excited he was since he would have normally had a few days of peace and quiet on the road by himself (haha!) but we are making it a family trip anyway! ; ) We arrived in OH on Monday early enough to visit their COSI museum (Columbus Ohio Science and Industry museum), rated #1 in the nation by Parent's Magazine. We were all very excited to have a day of fun together at this place. I had read on the internet alot about this museum so I knew there were a lot of great exhibits we would need to fit into our time there. We got to see rare frogs from around the world, learn about space from a kids' perspective, view a movie titled "The Wild Ocean" on their GIANT (6o foot!) movie screen, play with all kinds of gadgets and walk thru a history exhibit, taking the girls from the pioneer days, to the 1950s to the present day. To sum it all up in one word, FUN! We loved our time there and have already promised we would go again in the near future. Needless to say, it also wore us all out by the end of our first day. Tuesday the girls and I are planning to spend time just hanging out in the room, playing with some of our toys we brought and taking advantage of our time off together! We'll be sure and update more as our week unfolds......

13 years and counting!!! ; )

Jason and I celebrated 13 years of marriage this past Monday (23rd)!!! Woohoo! He is an absolute sweetheart and surprised me with a getaway for us. He planned everything, down to getting his mom up here to watch our girls overnight, to reserving a beautiful room at the French Lick resort. He also had an appt. made for me at their spa for a manicure and then had dinner reservations for us at their really nice restaurant in the hotel. It was absolutely wonderful as we got time to reconnect, relax, eat some wonderful food and get in some golfing together! Here's a pic of our wedding, 13 years ago. We've aged a bit and have had lots of memories made (good and a few bad!) during the years but wouldn't trade any of it for anything! Sounds a bit cheesy but I can honestly say, I love him more today than I did that day we said "I do" and cannot wait to see what God has in store for us for the next 13....and many more!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

Here's the latest picture of our littlest leprechaun in the family! She is such a ham and seems to really turn on the charm when the camera comes out......we have no idea where she gets that! ; )

Daddy's Birthday!!!

Jason had his birthday over the weekend so we ended up surprising him with a party at our house. Not a huge shindig but our immediate family, with Grandma, Papa, Aunt Amy, Uncle Jim and the cousins joining us. We decided to give him his presents at breakfast on Sunday before church so he wouldn't know that we had something else planned for him later in the day. The girls got him a new pass for the driving range that he likes to practice his golf game at and I got him the new Tony Dungy devotional book. He enjoyed his breakfast and gifts and said he was having a great birthday. Then, after church, we came home and I fixed a mexican fiesta and everyone came to surprise him with more presents and some great family time together. It was an absolutely beautiful day outside so he was able to enjoy spending time outside playing with the kids and shooting some hoops. After everyone left, I asked him if he was surprised and he said he definitely was and it actually ended up being one of his favorite birthdays! YEAH!!! : ) Here are a couple of pics from the celebration. Happy birthday to my sweet hubby....you are even cuter than the day we met! ; )
