The Christmas season has officially arrived and in true Massey family form, our entire gang is getting very excited! We are all busy as ever but trying to enjoy every minute. We were able to attend Abby's (oldest niece on my side of the family) Christmas concert recently and she had the honor of singing a wonderful solo...so proud of her! We have also attended Jason's corporate office party in Nashville, TN....always a great time. We were treated to a couple of nights away while Grandma and Uncle Jim, Aunt Amy and the girls watched our kiddos. We always feel so blessed with Jason's job after visiting his corporate office, they are much more like a family than a company. We had our small group Christmas party this weekend at a friends' house, a wonderful meal and fun times of fellowship make for a great evening out. This week, we have classroom parties for all three girls and Mama is still getting gifts finalized before Christmas arrives! : ) 'Tis the season! ENJOY!!!!!!!

Massey Thanksgiving 2010!
Happy Turkey Day to all! : ) Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. We enjoyed hosting my side of the family again this year. Honestly, I think Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. You have the excitement of the holidays approaching, all of the family getting together, a gigantic amount of food to go around, and no stress with gift shopping yet...LOVE IT! The night of Turkey Day, we did our annual tradition and had my sister and brother-in-law and their teenage girls spend the night here so that that the girls (me, sis and oldest niece!) could get up at the crack of dawn on Friday and head out to do some Christmas shopping with every other nut in America! It was crazy but so much fun....we are thinking about getting really crazy next year and starting at midnight! Saturday, we headed with our girls down to KY to spend some time with Jason's side of the family. We packed alot in to our holiday weekend but it's worth it to be able to spend time with all of our family.
Now on to more fun times of getting ready for Christmas....I really think it is the most wonderful time of the year! : )

Happy bday to ME! and getting ready for Turkey Day...
I recently celebrated my 39th birthday...one more year until the big 4 0!!! I teased my hubby that he better save it up this year so that he can spend most of his resources on next year's big party for me...haha! : ) I had a wonderful birthday this year, as usual. I was able to get to both Lauren and Allie's parent teacher conferences that morning and they are both doing great this year in school....that made for a nice bday present! : ) Then I met my mom for lunch, just the two of us! The girls surprised me with putting up decorations in the kitchen for me (Hello Kitty stuff from Lauren's past bday party...love it!) and a birthday balloon. They also got me a necklace, earrings and bracelet set...very pretty! Jason took me out to dinner the night of my bday to The Melting Pot....very romantic and so fun....had a great time together. Just what I needed for my bday.....great laughs and fellowship with my girls, then a nice quiet dinner with my best friend.....it doesn't get any better than that!

Happy Halloween!
We had a great time this fall, ending it with the school fall parties, our church's Harvest Bash (indoor HUGE fall party!) and trick or treating in the neighborhood! Busy crazy times but so much fun. Here are a few pictures to share. Hard to believe that we are now gearing up for Thanksgiving later this month....oh and Big Mama's birthday! ; )

Camping fun and Lauren learned to ride her bike with NO training wheels! : )
Been having alot of fun around here lately.....absolutely love the fall season! We were able to get away for another quick camping trip a few weekends ago with Nana and Papa....enjoyed Springmill State Park, one of our favorite places to go! And this trip was made even better with Lauren learning how to ride her bike without training wheels while we were there...woohoo! : ) We just enjoyed Fall Break last week (took the girls to a hotel around here to have a night of swimming in the indoor pool, relaxing in the hot tub and just having fun together!)....this weekend is our church's Harvest Bash, the girls' fall parties at school and trick-or-treating....better rest while I can! : )

Trip to the orchard....
We headed over to one of our favorite orchards close to our house (Anderson's) to check out their annual fall festival recently....always a good time! The girls enjoyed getting to pick out their own apples, Mama enjoyed the craft fair and I think Daddy just enjoyed being outside! We had a really nice day together.....I love FALL! : )
Chicago Trip for Mommy & Daddy! : )
Jason had a work conference back in mid September in Chicago so we decided to make it a little getaway for just the two of us....thank God for Grandma who came to our house and watched the Massey girlies for us! : ) We really enjoyed just getting away for a couple of days....the weather was great! We spent the first day walking EVERYWHERE downtown, loved it but had some pretty tired feet by the end of that day! The next day, Jason had to attend his trade show so I was able to spend some time shopping (by myself...woohoo!), eating and reading! Doesn't get any better than that! : )

Fun day at the park!
I surprised the younger two and had an impromptu picnic lunch at the park followed by ice cream cones at the ice cream shop! You would have thought that I told them they won a million dollars (or a million toys!)....they had a ball! : ) It is still hot here so the sun was beating down on us but there was an nice breeze so it was a great day to eat outside and enjoy the playground. By the time we got home, Katelyn was sound asleep and Lauren was ready to chill out for awhile!
