Jason's first hospital stay!

Just wanted to pass along a praise from the Massey family and a little update as to our lives recently. Last week Jason was out of town in CA for the week for a conference for his job. And of course, it always happens that when Daddy is away, things get a bit more chaotic! I've had a sinus infection, Lauren has had an ear infection, our garage door broke and what we thought was food poisoning for Jason out in CA earlier in that week ended up being appendicitis. He arrived home from CA very late last Thursday night and still wasn't feeling back to normal. We ended up at the drs. office first thing Friday morning and by late afternoon Friday, he was in surgery to have his appendix removed. Turns out, he had "gangrene" in his appendix and it was pretty nasty. In the surgeons' words...."you are very lucky that you are here now and that we got this taken care of when we did". He then shared with me how different of a situation it would have been that night had we not gotten him into surgery when we did. We are thanking God immensely for His hand on Jason! He spent the night in the hospital that night and was able to come home late Saturday. He actually has been feeling pretty good and ended up going to church on Sunday morning and is back at work this week. The only thing that seems to still be a bit out of whack is his stamina....he seems to be getting pretty worn out by evening. And he is still on some high-powered antibiotics that make him feel a bit "abnormal"! : ) But, all in all, he is doing great and we are just continuing to praise God for His protection and safe keeping on him. Remember, God's timing, as our pastor preached about on Sunday, is impeccable! : )

Just thought I would share our crazy but "God blessed" life recently.....
